Who am I?
I’m Dolapo, a wife and mother of two wonderfully energetic kids. As a serial property entrepreneur, investor, mentor & host of the Property Mom Podcast, I’ve lived and breathed property over the past decade. This year marks my 10th anniversary quitting my day job and going full time into Property Entrepreneurship and what an amazing journey it's been!
Property Investment...
It all started as a side hustle. I had a good job in the City, but I figured I needed multiple sources of income to protect myself and my future. I realised property investing was the No. 1 method to build long term wealth as it offered the most security. I started to learn, experiment and eventually what started off as a side thing started to grow. After my third project, I realised I'd found my niche! It became a no-brainer to quit my job and devote 100% of my time to my love for property. For sure, there have been challenges but I love the freedom it's given me to explore all my creativity (some of which i didn't know i even had!) and the time I get with my little ones who are growing so fast!
With CityGate Homes and Citygate Property Development , I've found financial freedom. I realise there are many women out there just like me, so I'd love to connect and grow together and is why this podcast was birthed! Ultimately, my primary aim is to simplify the experience of building a property portfolio. I have also developed a learning and membership platform Property Kept Simple for anyone looking to really deepen their knowledge and build up a portfolio.
There’s something for everyone.
A lot of what I talk about are things learnt deep in the trenches! From how to get into property whether you have a deposit (OR NOT!), how to build up your initial capital, getting prepared for the crazy world of mortgage finance or how you can source using other people’s funds and identifying which strategy works for you and your lifestyle. Believe me, there are so many areas that caused me stress in this journey me (and still do till today) but truly, there are creative ways to build long term wealth in property.
My sincere hope is that you are inspired to start your own property journey and really transform your life and really educate yourself on how to make wealth in Property.
